Finding Wellness in Nature

Woodland Wellness, blossoms from my early love of nature. As a sensitive young child, in rural England, I would often abscond to the garden, bird and butterfly book in hand. Rarely found, I ventured curiously into dark forests with their gnarled hidden roots, between delicate soft mosses and rampant ever the crawling evergreen ivy; later, wild swept shorelines. It was here, in nature, I felt l most at home, and still, many years later what many of us, have known intuitively that nature has the power to heal body, mind, and soul – and science agrees! Many, cited studies around from the World, confirm the positive healing outcomes of engaging in green and blue nature, with its healing qualities of depression, anxiety, and other mood disorders, while creating a deep sense of mental relaxation.

It is, with deep love and gratitude for Mother Nature’s power for healing, I share my ongoing study of eco-therapy, supported by counseling and coaching experience with deep questions, and conversations, that shape us. You will likely experience a deep sense of mental relaxation, and a greater sense of clarity. Additional benefits may include a boosted immune system, reduced stress and blood pressure, improved cardiac and pulmonary systems, and similar benefits that are usually achieved in an eight-week course of mindfulness practice. Be it a lunchtime walk, or a more immersive experience.
